Heimann Prize

Founded in 1875 in memory of Dr A. Heimann, Professor of German, 1847-74, by his children

  1. The Heimann Prize may be awarded in each session.

  2. The Prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.

  3. The Prize is awarded for German.

  4. The value of the Prize is books to the value of £15.

  5. No application is necessary.

  6. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Head of the Department of German.

  7. The award is announced in July.

  8. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
