Richard Barry Prize

Founded in memory of Richard Barry, a postgraduate student in the Department of Statistical Science who died tragically in 1990

  1. A prize known as the Richard Barry Prize may be awarded in each session.

  2. The prize is awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences.

  3. The Prize is awarded to the best MSc student in Statistical Science.

  4. The value of the Prize is £30.

  5. No application is necessary.

  6. The qualifications of candidates are considered by the Exams Sub Board in Statistics.

  7. The award is announced in October.

  8. The College reserves the right to vary these regulations should it become necessary to do so in order to ensure the continued use of the resources in the fund.

  9. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
