Travel and Examinations – 5 to 8 May 2014 – Latest Advice
It has been reported that the Rail Maritime and Transport (RMT) Union are planning a series of tube strikes, starting at 9pm on Monday 5 May 2014, which are likely to affect the following examination dates:
- 6 May - Morning and afternoon sessions
- 7 May - Morning and afternoon sessions
- 8 May - Morning and afternoon sessions
Nevertheless, it is intended that all examinations scheduled on the days listed above will take place at the times and in the venues indicated on your individual timetables, and you should make every effort to attend the examination on time. If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the start time for the examination, you will be subject to the late arrivals procedure as detailed in the Examination Guide for Candidates which means that you will not be permitted entry to the hall but will be directed to your parent department.
Where there are departmental tests, including oral and practical examinations, scheduled for the affected dates, you should contact the parent and/or teaching departments for further information.
You are advised to visit the Transport for London website for information about alternative routes and other general travel advice in order to plan your journey in advance.
The situation will continue to be monitored and notification of any changes to advertised examination arrangements will be posted here, so please check daily for updates.
