Bridging the Gaps has no current funding opportunities
During the course of the programme the funding opportunties included:
- Open Programme – The open programme will make awards of up to £2,000 for activities that lead to, or support, interdisciplinary research collaboration. The open programme has limited funding.
- MSc competition – the two competitions encouraged
researchers from different disciplines to work together
as they supervised a research student. The competition winners were
researchers from different disciplines who had identified a relevant
area of cross-disciplinary research.
The winners were given awards of £6,000 to cover the course fees for, and additional payments to, a
new MSc student. The student carried out the research
on a part-time basis. Not only did this help build interdisciplinary links
between the supervisors, but it also introduced a new generation of
researchers to this area and style of research.
- Support for grant writing – Bridging the Gaps provided funding to allow a researcher to bring in someone to carry out a literature review in support of an application, or to help in drafting part, or all, of the grant proposal.
- Dissemination events – these are our opportunities to tell the research community at UCL about our work during the pogramme.
