UCL Summer School in Ancient Philosophy
Monday 08 July to Fri 12 July 2024
The Summer School offers five days of intensive teaching of Homeric language and literature. There will be four language or literature classes each day as well as lectures, talks and roundtables. Some classes concentrate chiefly on reading texts, while others offer a mixture of grammar and translation practice.
London Summer School in Classics
Tuesday 16th to Thursday 25th July 2024
An eight-day Summer School in Ancient Greek and Latin (at all levels), as well as Biblical Hebrew, Byzantine Greek, Hittite, Sumerian, New Testament/Koine Greek, and Sanskrit (tbc). In addition to daily language classes, there will be lectures and workshops at the end of most days.
Summer School in Homer
Mon 29th July to Fri 2nd August 2024
The Summer School offers five days of intensive teaching in Homer. There are five language and literature classes each day as well as lectures and other events after the classes. The course is not residential. Bursaries and travel grants may beavailable for certain categories of students.
In collaboration with UCL's Department of History and UCL's Institute of Archaeology, the Department offers Greek and Latin and ancient Middle Eastern language and literature; ancient history, art history, and archaeology; philosophy, papyrology, and historical linguistics; reception, film, and intellectual history.
