    • It could be difficult to understand what support is available to help you succeed in your studies and how to apply. 

    We did 

    • The UCL Student Support Framework, launched in 2022, explains the main academic support processes you can access. It explains how you can apply for formal support through Extenuating Circumstances, reasonable adjustments or taking time out from your studies. 

    You said

    • There isn't enough academic writing support at UCL.

    We did

    • UCL opened the Academic Communication Centre. This gives students at all levels access to academic writing support, through credit-bearing modules as well as workshops and presentations. 

    You said

    • It could take a long time for your Summary of Reasonable Adjustments (SoRA) to be implemented (per NSS and PTES comments). 

    We did

    • Through the Student Support Framework, we have introduced new Service Level Agreements and turnaround times for SoRAs. 

    You said

    • UCL needs to be more considerate of students with protected characteristics that are not disabilities but may present challenges while studying. 

    We did

    • Within the Student Support Framework, UCL has launched new policies to provide Academic Adjustments for students. This may include students who are parents or carers, students with religious or cultural beliefs, and students experiencing war, harassment or other traumatic circumstances.

    • Your meetings with your personal tutor are not productive and you don't know what they can help with.
