Gene therapy delivered into the brain could treat alcohol misuse

Professor Simon Waddington (UCL EGA Institute for Women's Health) says doctors may be wary of giving people a new treatment unless they are severely ill with alcohol misuse: “It’s a heck of a thing to have an injection into your brain of a gene therapy that you can’t switch off."
