Early Mediaeval Texts

As part of the aims of Projet Volterra II, the texts of some early mediaeval legal works or materials are being made available on-line, provided they are not easily available elsewhere. One text has been prepared directly from consultation of the manuscript (Fragmenta Gaudenziana from British Library Add Ms. 47676), and two from photographs or digital images (Lectio legum, the Licinius letter). The others are taken from the standard editions of the works, but in some cases have been modified by more recent research or checked in selected instances against manuscript sources (e.g. the facsimile of the Summa Perusina). Each of the texts is prefaced by a short introduction.
