UCL-UCU: Strike & Rally Weds 30th (& reporting your strike action)

Central London UCU branches are also converging on Tavistock Square at 12.30pm to march together to Kings Cross if you wish to join them.

The employers will be gauging how effective our action is by the numbers taking part on the pickets and rally on this last day. We need to show them that we are not deterred. The numbers at the rally will be especially important in showing our resoluteness.

Please join us on Wednesday if you can. Picketing will be from 8 to 11.45am, followed by a gathering of all strikers at the Gower Street Gates at 12 noon, before making our way to King’s Cross.

There will be no strike committee meeting on Wednesday and members are encouraged to bring a packed lunch.  It would be  great if people bring their own, home made, placards to carry - the more imaginative and colourful the better - in case of media coverage. The weather is currently predicted to be dry and cloudy but increasingly chilly, so do layer up.

• 8 - 11.45am: Picket, UCL entrances
• 12 noon: leave for King’s Cross
• 1pm Rally at Kings Cross with Jo Grady (UCU), Mick Lynch (RMT), and others

Members may also like to join the demonstration called by London Region UCU at 2pm from Kings Cross to the UCEA/UUK HQ at Tavistock Square, coinciding with national negotiations.
