MSc HCI Prize Winners 2023 announced!

The MSc HCI Board of Examiners met in November. Alongside confirming project and degree results, the board awarded the following prizes.

MSc HCI Project Prize: Patrick Hussey
This prize was awarded to Patrick for his outstanding project "Examining future interactions with refreshable tactile displays (RTDs) through an interdisciplinary lens" supervised by Tigmanshu Bhatnagar.

Msc HCI Prize for Outstanding Academic Achievement: Ethan Gray, Patrick Hussey, Jade Lam and Bennet Muhlenbeck
Unusually, the Board decided to award this prize to four candidates this year in recognition of their exceptional overall award averages.

MSc HCI Student of the Year: Polly Ellanore Barber
2023 is the inaugural year for this prize, which recognises students for leadership and community-building. Student and staff nominations are considered by the board who decide on the overall winner. Polly Ellanore received multiple nominations recognising her outstanding work as Lead Academic Representative, open day volunteer and student hoodie organiser.
