The Mind of the Universe

The Mind of the Universe

Public Lectures, Masterclasses & Teacher Workshops

The Mind of the Universe is an ambitious project originally developed under a Science in Society Fellowship from the UK Science and Technology Facilities Council granted to Dr Francisco Diego.

It consists of public/school lecture, masterclasses and teacher workshops embracing topics like Origin and development of the Universe, the mystery behind the nature of the dark universe, the formation of stars and planets, space exploration and the possibility of alien life.

NOTE:   This project is now exploring the topics related to the current humanitarian and environmental crises as a consequence of human activities. The working title for this new venture is Paradise Planet Earth: a Human Responsibility. Details will appear on this site in due course.

'and the Universe begins to ring and resound It is no longer human voices  It is planets and suns revolving in their orbits'  (Gustav Mahler on his 8th Symphony)

The Mind of the Universe is a legacy of the International Year of Astronomy 2009, which celebrated 400 years of telescope astronomy and the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.
