Vacancy for UCL-based postdoctoral Laboratory Coordinator developing sustainable TB Clinical Trials capacity in Africa – deadline 31 October 2019
A position for a Laboratory Coordinator is available to work within the Centre for Clinical Microbiology within the Division of Infection and Immunity at the Royal Free Campus.
This postdoctoral Laboratory Coordinator position is funded by the PanACEA consortium with funding from the EDCTP (http://panacea-tb.net/) until 28 February 2022 in the first instance.
PanACEA's mission is to shorten and simplify treatment of Tuberculosis (TB), to increase the TB clinical trial capacity in Africa and to develop a sustainable TB clinical trials network in Africa. PanACEA is delivering phase 2 and 2b studies testing new and established drugs for the treatment of tuberculosis.
Working with colleagues in the consortium, the post holder will be responsible for training in and delivery of Good Clinical Laboratory Practice in the mycobacterial laboratories participating in PanACEA as well as research to improve TB clinical trials and methodology.
