About the programme
The Technology Management Group of UCL's Mullard Space Science Laboratory (MSSL) and UCL Centre for Systems Engineering (UCLse) have pooled expertise to develop this exciting industry accredited, full-time MSc programme, which aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to develop a career in technology management or engineering management.
Students must complete six taught modules and three research modules.
What are we looking for?
The MSc Technology Management is ideal for motivated students who want to build on a good first degree in a science, technology or engineering subject and develop their management skills before embarking upon a career with an engineering or technology company.
What will you learn?
Students learn about the challenges and opportunities of working with new and legacy technology, and are introduced to key concepts
Teaching and assessment
Teaching methods incorporate a mix of traditional lectures and case study-based teaching, and group-work, in which students will be challenged to come up with novel ideas, lead groups to innovative solutions and manage complex tasks under tight time pressure. Assessment is through coursework, examinations, written reports and presentations, and the dissertation.

Accreditation
The MSc Technology Management is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) on behalf of the Engineering Council as meeting the requirements for Further Learning for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Candidates must hold a CEng accredited BEng/BSc (Hons) undergraduate first degree to comply with full CEng registration requirements.
The programme is also a European accredited engineering master degree programme, and a graduate of this programme may define themselves as "EUR-ACE® Master".
