Prof Silva awarded an EPSRC Open Fellowship

Prof Silva has been awarded a £1.3 million grant from the EPSRC Open Fellowship programme, entitled “The Causal Continuum - Transforming Modelling and Computation in Causal Inference”. This fellowship will advance the state of the art on models and algorithms for making causal modelling more accessible to applied sciences, following a five-year research programme to be led by Prof Silva. The Department of Statistical Science will contribute with two PhD studentships as part of this project, complementing a team of two postdoctoral researchers and a part-time software engineer.
