The Haldane Events series was initiated in June 2004 to give 'behind the scenes' glimpses of UCL's academic life to ASCR members and their guests; subsequently, the range was broadened to include readings and music.
The 15th Haldane Event took place on Wednesday 7th December, when Rob Eagle (UCL Communications) showed "UCL: seven decades on film", a compilation of highlights from the UC Film Society archive not screened for many decades, including the incident of the Zebra Crossing, as well as some of the quirkier stories from UCL nowadays.
The 15th was the last in the Haldane series - but not the last ASCR event. From 2012 a broader range of events will be held in the Housman Room: further information will follow in the New Year.
