Predrag Cvetičanin

Predrag Cvetičanin is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš and also the director of the independent research institute Centre for Empirical Cultural Studies of Southeast Europe. After graduating in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy, Niš, he went on to receive MA degrees from the Department of History and Philosophy of Art, Central European University (CEU), Prague; Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy. Belgrade; and Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method of the London School of Economics (LSE), University of London. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. He has coordinated a large number of national and international research projects dealing with issues regarding cultural participation, the field of cultural production, as well as the relationship between cultural and social stratification in South-East European societies and the transition of the societies of this part of Europe from a culturalist perspective.
