Rita & Victor Swoboda Fund

On 20 February Anna George, representing the Rita and Victor Swoboda Memorial Fund, met the scholarship holder Ondrej Timco for an update on the progress of his research for his doctoral thesis on ‘Why offshore scheming amplifies political corruption: the Lazarenko case’.

Ondrej is in his third year of research under the supervision of Alena Ledeneva.

The fund was set up in 1992 in memory of Victor Swoboda, a former lecturer at SSEES, to promote Ukrainian Studies in the UK.
