Library of Congress Fellowship

Congratulations to Ben Phillips who has been awarded a Fellowship from the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s International Placement Scheme for three months’ research at the Library of Congress (LOC) in Washington DC.

Ben is a second year PhD student and is researching ‘George Kennan and the Russian revolution in exile, 1885-1898’. He is one of 25 postgraduate students and early career researchers to be hosted by the LOC and will be based at the John W Kluge Center. The LOC is the largest library in the world with 158 million items in 470 languages on 838 miles of bookshelves.

For anyone interested in applying for the AHRC’s International Placement Scheme, details will be published on the IPS webpages in the next few weeks with a closing date of mid-January 2015.
