Jan 2018- 'Botanical Encounters' at the Wellcome Collection

On 18th January 2018, Prof. Michael Heinrich (UCL) and Dr. Sukvinder Bhamra (University of Kent) joined food historian Monisha Bharadwaj for an evening at the Wellcome Collection to discuss the various roles spices and plant-based materials play in Ayurveda and other traditional medical practices. 

This evening event is part of a Wellcome series to accompany the ongoing exhibition "Ayurvedic Man: Encounters with Indian Medicine", free at the Wellcome Collection 16 Nov 2017- 8 April 2018. For more information on the exhibition, visit the Wellcome Collection's website here.
