SHS is proud to have become one of the Foundation’s Preferred Partners, having demonstrated our commitment to widening participation at the postgraduate level, as well as providing tailored academic and pastoral support to our Muslim student population. The Aziz Foundation works to support British Muslims to bring positive change to their communities and beyond by sponsoring students to pursue postgraduate programmes.

“I am utterly thrilled that UCL SHS has become one of our preferred partners. The Faculty has shown it is strongly determined to diversify the academy through transformative schemes such as ‘100 in 10’, and, more widely, it is deeply committed to creating an inclusive learning environment for British Muslim students. We are very much looking forward to sponsoring exceptional British Muslims studying at this prestigious institution.’

Professor Sasha Roseneil said:

“Students and staff from British Muslim backgrounds make an enormous contribution to UCL’s academic community, furthering our mission of critical inquiry and real-world problem solving. We are delighted to be partnering with the Aziz Foundation to advance our shared goal of supporting talented students from diverse backgrounds, as part of our strategic commitment to diversifying the academic community and providing opportunities for advanced study for members of under-represented groups.”

We look forward to working closely with the Foundation to widen access and increase opportunities at the postgraduate taught level for British Muslim communities. For more information, eligibility criteria and to apply please visit the Aziz Foundation website.
