Round up of research grant success across SHS Faculty

Congratulations to all colleagues across the Faculty of Social & Historical Sciences who have had great success in securing research grants for a rich variety of projects. You can see a summary of these projects below as well as links for further information. 

 

  • Dr Alan Renwick, Professor Benjamin Lauderdale, and Professor Meg Russell (all UCL Political Science) have received an ESRC research grant under a special call on Governance After Brexit, for a project called 'Democracy in the UK after Brexit'.

  • Professor Konrad Mierendorf (UCL Economics) has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant. His project is entitled ‘Dynamic Information Acquisition, Experimentation and Communication’.

  • Professor Stephen Shennan (UCL Archaeology) and Professor Mark Thomas (UCL Genetics, Evolution and Environment) have been awarded an ERC Synergy Grant. This project will combine prehistoric human genomic, archaeological, environmental, stable isotope and climate data to better understand the processes that shaped our biological and cultural past.

  • Professor Paulo Drinot (UCL Institute of the Americas) has received a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship. This three-year award will enable Professor Drinot to work on his new project, a biography of José Carlos Mariátegui.
