Sinta Tantra is showing The Eccentricity of Zero, a new sculpture to celebrate the work of female sculptors, marking the second year of the collaboration between the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the Royal British Society of Sculptors. The Slade School of Fine Art is delighted to announce that Motoko Ishibashi and Mariana Simnett are recipients of this year's William Coldstream Memorial Prize. This is an annual purchase prize which enables UCL Art Museum to acquire work by Slade School of Fine Art Students, recognizing a student's particular excellence in any medium.

John Walter has been awarded an AHRC Studentship in the department of Architecture and the Built Environment at Westminster University; his research project is titled ‘Alien Sex Club – How architecture affects the mind and body in cruising and alternatives to antiretroviral therapy’. Holly Hendry has won the Woon Tai Jee Art Fellowship, funded by art collector Wee Teng Woon and hosted by Northumbria University, for her artwork R255 G145 B175. She will use the £20,000 bursary to fund her fellowship at the BxNU Institute for Contemporary Art at the Baltic Arts Centre, in Gateshead, for the coming academic year. See www.northumbria.ac.uk.
