Teaching and structure
The summer school runs in July and August and is divided into two sessions, each spanning three weeks. You can choose to attend either session, or both, selecting one module per session.
You'll spend 3 to 4 hours in class each day, Monday to Friday. This time can include lectures, seminars, tutorials, class excursions and visits to places of interest around London.
You'll also need to complete around 100 hours of independent study over the three weeks.
All modules are taught by UCL academics, and many also feature guest speakers. The teaching style is interactive and class sizes are limited to encourage discussion and debate.
How you're assessed will depend on the module you're studying.
Modules are available in a range of subject areas including:
- Political science
- Crime and security
You'll receive a UCL transcript and a certificate of attendance.

The fees are:
- £1,995 - for one session
