Have you ever wondered what entrepreneurship actually is? This series of six free online courses will help you get to grips with the jargon used to describe entrepreneurs and prompt you to ask yourself the right questions if you're thinking about becoming one.

Course content and structure

There are six individual courses, which you can work through in your own time. Each course takes from 15 to 30 minutes.

In each course you'll watch short videos of experts and entrepreneurs sharing their experiences and practical advice. There are also interactive elements and quizzes to help you practice what you've learnt.

1. Do you have the 'right stuff' to be an entrepreneur?

Take a look at how entrepreneurs think. You'll get to know key questions entrepreneurs ask themselves and how some experts approach answering them.

2. How entrepreneurs think up ideas

Understand how great entrepreneurs come up with winning ideas. You'll get to grips with the language entrepreneurs use for coming up with ideas and some approaches to help your own thinking.

3. How entrepreneurs test and refine their ideas

Put your ideas through their paces. You'll learn why entrepreneurs talk about business models, and discover the tools to create your own.

4. How entrepreneurs talk to their customers

Hold useful, interesting conversations about your ideas. You'll learn how entrepreneurs have better conversations, as well as approaches to having honest conversations and the language of customer feedback.

5. How entrepreneurs move from ideas to action

Make the leap from good idea to great business. You'll learn a framework used by many entrepreneurs to manage their product development and how to ask the right questions about product development.

6. How entrepreneurs assess the competition

Size up your competitors and find your strength. You'll learn ways to find out what already exists in the market and how to describe what makes your business idea different.
