Changing Minds: Workshops In Advanced Behavioural Science

Overview

We offer a range of in-person and online workshops in advanced behavioural science which can be found on our website.

Our upcoming workshop which you can now book is: Negotiation on 21 November 2024, from 5-8pm, which will be held online.

Who this course is for

The Negotiation workshop is for:

  • C-suite executives and managers from all sectors who want to improve their negotiation skills or take their negotiation skills to the next level.
  • Organisational teams (Marketing, HR, Finance) dealing with vendors and/or other teams.

Course content

This course will help you to:

  • Prepare for important negotiations
  • Anticipate how others might behave and what you can do
  • Communicate more effectively
  • Achieve your desired outcomes, while protecting important relationships 
  • Resolve disputes

You will learn interactively, using established frameworks to improve your negotiation. By the end of this course, you will be better equipped to approach the negotiations you face at work and in daily life.

Dr Alicia Melis

Dr Alicia Melis

Alicia is Associate Professor in Behavioural Science and Decision-Making at UCL. Incorporating insights from psychology, behavioural economics and anthropology, she investigates the psychology supporting teamwork and prosocial behaviour. Alicia works with human children and with chimpanzee populations in East Africa to explore how our social skills develop, and how insights from our closest-living primate relatives can inform our understanding of human behaviour.

Professor Nichola Raihani

Professor Nichola Raihani

Nichola is a Royal Society University Research Fellow and Professor of Evolution and Behaviour at UCL. She studies the evolution of social behaviour, and specifically focuses on the intricacies of human social behaviour. Nichola has worked in the Kalahari Desert, the Australian outback and the Great Barrier Reef. She’s the author of The Social Instinct: How Cooperation Shaped the World (published in 2021). She’s worked with a variety of companies, including JustGiving, International Hotel Group and Ogilvy.
