We regularly organise student events and networking opportunities for our undergraduate students.
After graduation, our alumni return to the department to present their career journeys to current students and to share their learnings.
As part of our courses, we also host seminars with leading industry professionals, who share latest trends from the industry.
Our annual International Crime Science Conference discusses latest trends in crime and security science, bringing together leading practitioners, policy-makers, technologists and academics within this field. Last year's theme focused on organised crime, looking at current responses, as well as anticipating future crimes and their mitigation.
Our annual Women in Security, Crime and Forensic Science Showcase highlights the achievements of women researchers and professionals working in the industry, sparking conversations about the experiences of women in this landscape.
In addition to networking events, we also organise student socials, allowing students from different years and courses to come together and share their experiences.
