Field trips and presentations

Our students take part in field trips to key government organisations and locations as part of our undergraduate course

Field trips are key part of our Bsc Crime and Security Science, giving our students the chance to visit key locations such as the Hendon Police College (the principal training facility for the Metropolitan Police), the Home Office and The London Centre

During these trips, students have the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, understand the realities of the industry and present their work and skills prior to graduating.

For example, in recent years, our undergraduate students presented for the Home Office on their horizon scanning work. This focuses on how changes in technology are creating new opportunities for crime and how to prevent to it.

Topics in this year's presentation ranged from AI, 3d printed guns, exoskeletons and unmanned aerial vehicles to neural implants and deepfakes.
