Nominate your scientific hero/heroine
The UCL Prize Lecture in Life and Medical Sciences is a prize awarded annually by UCL since 1997. The prize lecture has become one of the pre-eminent series on contemporary science in Europe and the annual lecture provides an opportunity to debate and celebrate important scientific advancements.
Staff and students in the School of Life and Medical Sciences are now invited to nominate a speaker for the lecture to be given in autumn 2022. We wish to encourage nominations that reflect the diversity of science. Although the nomination is for an individual, they are likely to represent a team. Please declare whether you have any relationship with your nominee.
The criteria for selection are:
- s/he made a major and exciting discovery;
- s/he is an inspiring speaker;
- s/he has a powerful story to tell;
- her/his work has had demonstrable impact on our understanding of Life and/or Medical Sciences;
- s/he should be external to UCL.
Nominations will be considered by the selection committee in December 2020.
