Learn how to pitch your ideas!
Learn how to find the story of your research idea and how to confidently share it with potential collaborators or with those who might be able to help fund it. This 2-hour online session will cover how to develop the perfect pitch and confidently answering questions.
**PLEASE NOTE: If you have been shortlisted to present your translational research idea as part of the TIN Pilot Data Funding Schemes, you will be provided with bespoke pitch coaching from ACCELERATE before you present to the Dragons' Den panel. You will be contacted directly with further information.
When: 7 October 2020, 13:00-15:00.
Where: Online - a link to the meeting space will be shared with registered participants before the session.
Who should attend? This workshop is aimed at researchers at UCL.
Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to;
- Define and apply the elements of an impactful pitch
- Explain and implement techniques for concisely answering questions under pressure
About the Facilitator
Simon Cain, Director of Westbourne Training and Consulting, is an accomplished training consultant, specialising in presentations skills and public speaking. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and was responsible for winning the UK’s first Supreme Training Award. He has been responsible for delivering a range of presentation and public speaking courses and one-on-one coaching to a wide range of private and public sector clients.
