15 September 2020

ACCELERATE Expertise presents the a new date for its highly popular workshop, 'Introduction to Intellectual Property'

This half day online workshop will go through the basics of Intellectual Property (IP) knowledge from a researcher perspective and the support available at UCL. Participants will also learn why IP is important especially as they create value in their research.

WHEN: Weds 30th Sept 2020, 10:00-13:00.

WHERE: a link to the meeting space will be shared with registered participants the day before the workshop.

What to expect: The half-day interactive workshop will be very practical, with a number of reflective and interactive activities.

The workshop will help you to:

  • find out more about the different types of IP that researchers may be involved with;
  • evaluate how you use any IP that you create; and
  • better consider how you collaborate with others with IP in mind.

By the end of the workshop, you'll be better able to:

  • realise opportunities in translational research with knowledge of your own IP:
  • share ideas and work with other partners, both internal to UCL or external; and
  • follow a more open research approach

Who should attend? This workshop is aimed at UCL researchers who would like to increase their IP knowledge. Please note you must have a UCL email address in order to take part in this workshop. This is to allow access to certain UCL-specific software.
