The SPIRIT of SLMS Awards: Celebrating Student Achievements
4 July 2017
The SLMS Education Network is launching a new set of awards to celebrate the many varied achievements of our students.
Eligibility
We encourage nominations of student from across our four faculties, both undergraduate and postgraduate.
We anticipate making awards in the following categories:
- Community engagement
- Entrepreneurial achievement
- Citizenship within UCL
- Scientific excellence (UG/PGT/PGR)
We also encourage nominations to recognise student achievement in other forms - do not be limited by these proposed categories. We wish to recognise student achievement in all its many, diverse forms. We will also consider nominations for groups of students who have worked together on specific projects.
We are looking to make these awards to students who have gone 'above and beyond' the high expectations that we have for all our students and have made a very significant impact to the UCL community and/or beyond.
If you have any questions regarding eligibility, then please contact Dr Jenni Rodd (j.rodd@ucl.ac.uk)
Nomination/Awards Process
Students are strongly encouraged to self-nominate. We also accept nominations made by other students and staff within UCL.
Please apply using this application form
Application forms for the current round should be emailed to Dr Jenni Rodd by 31 July 2017. (Note that there will likely be a second call for nominations in September 2017.)
A panel of judges that includes members of staff and current students from each faculty will then select winners from these nominations.
