In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to start engaging in translational research by building your professional network and how to gain mentoring and support from senior colleagues and peers through effective networking!

When: Thurs 4 March 2021, 10:00-11:00.

Where: Online - a link to the meeting space will be shared with registered participants before the session.

Who should attend? This workshop is aimed at researchers at UCL who would like to know more about how to make their research more translational and how to grow their network in this area.

•    How to effectively get your message across
•    How to introduce yourself confidently
•    How to network proactively
•    How to apply networking skills to find mentoring support

About the Facilitator

Colby Benari is the Head of the UCL Academic Careers Office with responsibility for for delivering targeted support for UCL’s 11,000 early career scientists. Colby has over ten years of experience supporting biomedical researchers to find mentors, win funding and develop their careers in academia and industry. 

What is ACCELERATE?

ACCELERATE is a set of interlinked training initiatives aimed at upskilling the biomedical research community in translational research. ACCELERATE Success focuses on skills development for success in translational research. ‘Building Your Professional Network’ is an ACCELERATE Success initiative.
