The impact of the cloud seeding in UAE on the convective clouds over the west of Al-Hajar mountains
Management of the groundwater resources is one of the critical topics in light with the high tendency of climate change and more droughts risks in arid and semi-arid regions in the coming decades. Therefore, precipitation enhancement technique through cloud seeding has been widely implemented in many countries to meet the decrease in natural rainfall. Taking advantage of the Al-Hajar mountains between Oman and United Arab Emirates (UAE), the project of cloud seeding was implemented by UAE since 2003.
This research aims to focus on studying the impact of the cloud seeding operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the activity of convective clouds in the western part of Al-Hajar mountains in Oman.
