Integrating Cascading Disasters in London's Response and Preparedness Strategies
25 May 2017
We started a new collaboration with London Resilience (www.londonprepared.gov.uk) to integrate our work in preparedness strategies and contingency planning.
The goals are:
1) Apply the theory of cascading disasters to test the multi-agency capacity to respond to electricity supply disruptions, such as blackouts.
2) Apply the theory of cascading disasters to improve strategic-level awareness for major disruptions of transportation.
3) Define a replicable assessment process that could be complementary to wider impact trees, scenarios and contingency planning.
Further materials will be published soon on this website and on the official London Resilience page.
