  • “Our stay in London was amazing and with the University’s location to all transportation made it easy to sight see and adventure around. The room is small, clean and exactly what we needed.” ….summer 2015

“Very good value for money, clean and tidy.” ….summer 2015
“It’s not luxury, but the friendly and efficient service from the staff we met, more than made up for the lack of hotel style. Location for everything West End would be impossible to beat…for what we paid.” ….summer 2015

Frances Gardner House & Langton Close

  1. "The people who work at Frances Gardner House were all very friendly. I received a warm welcome when I arrived. The room was large, clean, and had everything I needed for a short stay. The surrounding area is just beautiful. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants are close by, as well as the underground stations and Russel Square shopping centre. The Thymes River is also an enjoyable walk from here. I wish I had stayed here the whole time I was in London. I definitely recommend Frances Gardner House and plan to return next time I'm in London. Thank you so much for making my trip one to remember!" Summer 2011
  2. "The staff were very pleasant and accommodating [...]. The room was a great size and very quiet - no road noise is unheard of in London! The kitchen was much bigger than I expected and was cleaned everyday. All in all a very enjoyable experience - a world away from my experiences of student accommodation in SE London! Highly recommended for a visit to London on a budget." Summer 2011
  3. "Just wanted to thank you for your help with the accommodation and let you know what a fantastic time we had in London and the accommodation was excellent and that you have the most wonderful staff - we will be coming back next year" Summer 2010

James Lighthill House

  1. "I have stayed at James Lighthill twice this summer and felt it was an excellent place to stay in terms of personal safety, central location, cleanliness and space. A ten minute walk from Kings Cross station it is easy to find, offers easy access to the West End, Bloomsbury and Covent Garden and beyond. My single, en-suite room was spacious, clean and functional, but fairly spartan in terms of furnishings and furniture. Having access to a spacious, well equipped kitchen is really useful if you are on a tight budget. [...] I thoroughly recommend this" Summer 2011
  2. "Mature independent traveller. Good central location 10 min. walk Kings Cross or Angel (this better for his quarter life). Some buses just in front the door, perfect num. 73 day and night. Safe, clean, good kitchen facilities, very spacious room, very quiet rooms in courtyard. (x same price in Kings Cross: very small room hotel, 3rth floor no lift, no ensuit)" Summer 2011
  3. "The room is good value for money. It has a perfect location -- a few steps from Tesco and bars, and a short walk to King's Cross. Plus, there is Bus no. 73 running every few minutes to UCL and Oxford Street, which is ideal for shopping. The staff are also kind and helpful". Summer 2010
