2024 RIC Fellowships
12 December 2023
The UCL Research Institute for Collections is inviting applications for the 2024 Fellowships. In addition to the Special Collections Visiting Fellowship and Liberating the Collections Fellowships we have the new Prejudice in Power Fellowship.

UCL RIC Visiting Fellowship in Special Collections
This Fellowship offers scholars an opportunity to visit UCL to conduct research on a topic centred on the UCL holdings of archives, rare books, and records.
UCL RIC Liberating the Collections Fellowships
These two Fellowships are intended to unearth underrepresented voices in the UCL collections of museum objects, artworks, archives, rare books and manuscripts and find new ways of engaging with collection stories and presenting them to wider society.
The successful candidates will spend up to six weeks (or part time equivalent) between April and December 2024 at UCL researching the collections. The Visiting Fellows will receive a grant of £4,500 and a work space on the UCL Bloomsbury campus.
We are offering a new Fellowship intended to focus on the legacies of eugenics at UCL. As a Fellow, you will help us gain perspectives on our collections by examining the legacies of eugenics at UCL and beyond.
The successful candidate for the Prejudice in Power Fellowship will spend up to 10 weeks (or part time equivalent) between April and December 2024 at UCL researching the collections. The Prejudice in Power Fellow will receive a grant of £7,000 and a work space on the UCL Bloomsbury campus.
