Important update: Grant submission deadlines

21 September 2023

We are aware of issues this week with submitting grant applications through UKRI's new Funding System. To minimise any potential impact, approvals in Worktribe and completed applications need to be submitted to Pre-Award a minimum of 5 working days prior to the funder deadline.

A high volume of planned submissions is expected for the upcoming 28 September UKRI deadline. To minimise any potential difficulties with submitting grant applications, we are encouraging all applicants to prepare early.

Approvals in Worktribe and completed applications need to be submitted to the Award Services Pre-Award team a minimum of 5 working days prior to the funder deadline. This will enable the Pre-Award team to carry out all necessary checks and submit your application on behalf of UCL via the funder system in a timely manner.

Please note that due to the high volume of submissions in some areas, your application may be allocated to another Research Support Officer within the Pre-Award team to review and approve.

Applications will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be aware that submissions received after Monday morning may risk being missed.

Changes to clinical grades in Worktribe

Clinical grades have been updated in Worktribe. Applicants should re-select the salary grade for any clinical posts included in a Worktribe budget for all submissions going forward.

Where can I find further information about the UKRI Funding Service?

To support UCL's research community with the transition, we have developed a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) webpage on the new UKRI And Wellcome funding platforms to help staff navigate the changes.
