Ms. Isobel Clarke

Isobel is currently doing her MSci Physics final year project in the Quantum Devices Group on the simulation and measurement of electron dipole spin resonance (EDSR) in carbon nanotube quantum dot devices. The simulation part of her project has two main aspects. Firstly, simulating the magnetic field gradients of different micromagnet geometries in carbon nanotube devices using the mumax3 software package. Secondly, using the Qiskit and Kwant software packages, investigating the spin state evolution in realistic devices in the presence of an oscillating electric driving field. Time permitting, Isobel will also be performing experiments - alongside the groups PhD students - to measure EDSR in carbon nanotubes and verify the model predictions.
