Do you what to know more about how your research can impact on Parliament?

UCL Public Policy is pleased to host this 2-hour masterclass exploring the role and work of Select Committees within the parliamentary process and how researchers can engage with them to translate their research into policy. Staff from the House of Commons and House of Lords Science and Technology Select Committees will lead the session.

Topics to be covered include:

  • What is a select committee and how do they work?
  • How and why are topics for committees chosen?
  • What happens after an enquiry is concluded?
  • How is my research used by a Select Committee?
  • How can I submit my research and what form should it take?

The masterclass will also include an interactive session to design and pitch an inquiry topic for a Select Committee to our experts.

Places for the masterclass are strictly limited, to apply please fill in a ticket form.

This event is open to all but will be particularly relevant to those working in science and technology subjects. UCL Public Policy plans to host masterclasses in other disciplines over the coming year.
