UCL Summer School

Social programme

We want you to make the most of your time in London and to help you to do just that we will have on offer a carefully curated series of events, exclusively for UCL Summer School students.

Alongside a number of free events such as welcome drinks, quiz nights and the end-of-summer boat party, we will also offer a range of events in and around London. Other events will include West End shows, comedy nights and visits to historical and cultural attractions as well as daytrips venturing outside of London. Rest assured, there will be something for everyone!

Session One

Social programme activities in Session One are likely to include:

  • A live performance of Disney's Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre
  • Comedy nights
  • Day trips to Oxford, Stonehenge and Bath

Session Two

While the first week of our social programme in Session Two will follow a similar schedule to that in Session One, all students are again welcome to free activities in the first week. Students can expect some new events and activities later in the Session and examples are likely to include:

  • A live performance of Roald Dahl's Charlie & the Chocolate Factory at Royal Drury Lane theatre
  • The world-famous UCL Summer School British Culture Quiz
  • The End-of-Summer boat party on the River Thames
