Can democracy prevail over authoritarianism? With the current war in Ukraine, the question has never been more timely. In this special in-conversation event, two of the highest profile diplomats in the world will discuss the most vexing challenges facing the US and the UK in their quest to preserve and defend democracy. In addition, they will address how challenges to democratic governance at home affect America’s efforts to present a united front abroad, as well as the evolving nature of the US-UK special relationship. Drawing on decades of experience from around the globe, they will also reflect on their distinguished careers as women leaders in the international sphere.
