Artificial Intelligence in Law Enforcement: How is it being used? What impact is it having?
25 May 2021, 2:00 pm–3:15 pm

Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics already play an outsized role in the private sector, but how are AI systems being deployed in the public sector and what effects are they having? What kind of impact can they have in public services, such as law enforcement? In this talk, Professor Andrew Whitford presents his latest research on the use of AI in law enforcement, analysing both the decision to utilise AI systems, as well as the potential transformative effects AI may have on public service delivery.
