You can check the Library catalogue for availability and loan periods of any of the following items.
The Reference Shelves hold copies of all the standard reference compendia, such as the various pharmacopeias, drug indexes, language and subject dictionaries, etc. There is also a copy of the most used Student textbooks.
Short Loan Collection
The short loan collection, known as the Pharmacy Teaching Collection on
Explore, is held behind the Issue Desk and this includes copies of past exam
papers, some volumes of the British Pharmacopoeia and European Pharmacopoeia as
well as copies of the most popular student textbooks. These copies are denoted on the spine by a red label with a gold spot. The loan periods are 8.45am to 4.30pm and 4.00pm to 9.00am the next working day. You may borrow 3 items at a time. They cannot be renewed or reserved. A fine of £0.50 per hour or part-of-an-hour will be charged for any short-loan item that is returned late.
PhD theses submitted to the University of London by UCL School of Pharmacy students are all housed in the Library. This collection is strictly reference only.
Laptops and iPads
The Library has a number of laptops and iPads available via the Issue/Enquiry Desk which can be loaned overnight to staff and students only. They have to be returned by 10.00am the next working day. If the equipment or any related parts are returned later then the due time, the fine is £5.00 per day.
There are also some UCL laptops available to borrow via the self-service laptop lockers in the approach area. The overdue fine is £5.00 per day.
