UCL CBT-SMHP Programme Supervisor Training

As part of the overall CBT-Severe Mental Health Problems (SMHP) programme, we will be offering supervisor training to Trust CBT supervisors providing supervision to staff enrolled on the two-year PGDip and the one-year PGCert/top-up courses across all three pathways (Psychosis/Bipolar, Eating Disorders and Personality Disorders). The training is designed to support CBT supervisors develop their clinical supervision skills. It is specifically aimed at building supervision skills pertaining to CBT work with people experiencing psychosis / bipolar disorder, eating disorders and personality disorders.

Who is the supervision training for?
The supervision training is only for those supervisors providing supervision to trainees on the programme. It is primarily for supervisors located within trainees’ workplaces (site-supervisors) but will also be open to UCL CBT-SMHP programme supervisors.

If we have places available, we will make them more widely available to practitioners who are not currently offering supervision as part of the CBT-SMHP programmes.

How do I apply?
The CBT supervisor training is be open to CBT supervisors across all three pathways of the CBT-SMHP programme. We will be establishing contact with all site-supervisors as the programme commences. From here, we will update you on the dates for the training and the application process.

What is the cost of the supervision?
The training is free to all CBT supervisors providing supervision on the programme.
