BUCNI provides state of the art magnetic imaging facilities for Birkbeck and UCL staff, and promotes inter-institutional collaboration and innovation. It is home to a Siemens Avanto 1.5 Tesla MRI scanner that is equipped with several specialized surface and head coils for high-resolution structural and functional neuroimaging. The facility includes equipment for performing concurrent eye tracking, EEG, TMS, and tDCS and provides equipment and expertise supporting high fidelity, multi-modal stimulus delivery and a wide range of response recording options.
