Gillian Forbes

Gillian joined UCL in April 2018 as a senior research associate for the Preserving Antibiotics through Safe Stewardship (PASS) project. Her role is coordinating and conducting interviews with Healthcare professionals, nursing home staff and the general population.
Prior to joining UCL, Gillian was a Research Fellow at the University of Dundee and NHS Education for Scotland. She received a PhD Fellowship in Improvement Science from the Health Foundation in 2013. The PhD thesis focused on the theoretical development of an intervention aiming to improve antibiotic prescribing in primary dental care.
Gillian is interested in the implementation of research evidence into practice and the associated use of behaviour change theory to underpin the design and development of interventions.
