Two recent graduates from MSc Speech and Language Sciences win the Tavistock Prize for “excellent work related to aphasia”

Congratulations to Nichola Briggs and Philippa Clay, two recent graduates from the MSc Speech and Language Sciences, who have been awarded the Tavistock Prize for “excellent work related to aphasia” from The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia.
The award of £300 was made for their final year
projects.
Nichola’s project on Preliminary Evidence for Modality Specific
Attention Impairment in Post-Stroke Aphasia, was supervised by Dr Carolyn Bruce
and Dr Caroline Newton.
Philippa’s project on Making the Community
Integration Measure accessible for people with Acquired Communication
Difficulties, was supervised by Professor Jane Maxim.

The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia is a national organisation aiming to raise the profile of aphasia amongst speech and language therapists of the future.
