John Hoath

John Hoath is a Research Radiographer at the UCL/UCLH Institute of Nuclear Medicine. He works in the Clinical Research team, supporting studies into tumour angiogenesis, interstitial lung disease and myocardial perfusion. John specialises in PET and CT imaging and in the technology and infrastructure required for the research.

John’s own research is in collaboration with AI start-up Cosmonio. This research is developing deep learning algorithms to segment, classify and diagnose from PET, CT and MRI hybrid imaging.

John has previously worked at City, University of London as a Lecturer and still teaches Medical Imaging Engineering and Radiography. More recently he set up the UK’s first long term undergraduate nuclear medicine placement for radiography students.

In the past John has worked as a clinical, PACS specialist and CT radiographer and has completed a Master’s degree in Health Sciences research at the University of Liverpool.
