Alex Ruani (IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society) explains the health benefits of fasting. She said: “Ramadan fasting has shown many favourable cardiometabolic effects in healthy people, including lower blood levels of LDL ‘bad’ cholesterol, triglycerides".
