Slovakia: pro-western diplomat contests Russia-friendly politician for presidency

Dr Michal Ovádek (UCL Political Science) said the Slovak president can act as a “barrier for more autocratisation”. He added it “Doesn’t mean it is not going to keep happening – but probably slower”.
